Synergy Supports NIDA’s Research Report Series with New Look at Therapeutic Communities
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) asked Synergy to update four topics in its Research Report Series. The first of these revised and expanded reports—which describes the important role that Therapeutic Communities can play in treating people with addiction, co-occurring mental disorders, and involvement in the criminal justice system—has been posted on the NIDA website.
Synergy’s approach involved a comprehensive literature review to identify important new research and outcomes, as well as discussions with key research and treatment personnel within therapeutic communities nationwide. Our experienced science writers and editors then prepared and revised content to help NIDA explain complex research topics clearly for a variety of audiences.
NIDA’s Research Reports provide a summary of the most recent scientific information on topics related to drug abuse and addiction. As part of our continuing support of NIDA’s Office of Science Policy and Communications, Synergy has also developed updated Research Reports on cocaine, co-occurring disorders, and addiction treatment, which will be posted on the NIDA website.
